I found my unicorn

I have searched on and off for about 15 years. In those 15 years, I have seen 4 that met the criteria of what I was looking for: A 2wd Highlander Blazer with the option package that included factory A/C

There was one that popped up on Facebook Marketplace a few weeks ago in Southern Indiana. My buddy has an enclosed trailer, so we started planning on how to get down there. I contacted him and he held on to it for me. My travel partner was selling a dirt track race car and a guy from ontario, ca wanted to purchase it. We loaded up his race car, I drove the Minneapolis and soccered for the weekend. My buddy flew in to Minneapolis, we sold the race car and then drove to southern Indiana to pick it up. 3,000 miles and a week on the road(including soccer) and I finally touched down back at home with the rust bucket.

The blazer was painted red and reupholstered to a roadster look but originally it was a dark olive with avocado plaid. On the long drive back I had lots of time to process my plans and I am still undecided on a lot. The project is a lot, but I don't have to hurry. Currently I am trying to find some help with rust repair and the one thing it is missing is a top. We have a garage sale this weekend to make room for it in the garage and then I will inventory and take more photos of rust repair.

with the purchase, it came with a new bed, both new bedsides, rockers in and out and the windshield panel. I will need to purchase at least one rocker box, potentially 2.
