2" lower spring popping out of place
69 c/10 4-6 drop with 2" front lowering springs and KYB 344068 lowering shocks.
Stock control arms. When they jacked it up at the alignment shop the front spring popped out of place at the top, and we were unable to pop it back in again as there was still too much trension on it (the other one had popped out earlier already). I'm asuuming if I remove the shock and jack it up it will remove the tension and I can pop it back in again, but I cant do that everytime I jack the truck up. Question is. Do i have the wrong lowering shock that is letting the control arm travel too low causing the spring to pop out of place? The KYb shock has a travel of 9.6" - 15.28". looking at the Bell-Tech 2103-HA it has a travel of 9.5" - 14". Would putting the belltech shock in restrict the travel enough to stop the spring from popping out? My other option is to put the factory spring back in, but I really like the stance of the truck the way it is. |
