New to C10...new to LS

I just bought someone else's stalled 1968 C10 project, and I'm working on getting it roadworthy again. It's been lowered to unreasonable levels, and has a 4.8 LS with a carburetor, and a 5 speed manual transmission swapped into it. I finished rebuilding the rear brakes (gotta make it stop before you can make it go), and installing a new master cylinder, so the brakes should actually work now. I have all of the lighting working again after some cleaning and splicing, and I have the fuel pump and MSD box wired up properly now. It starts and runs, but there's no radiator or accessory belt, so I haven't driven it yet.

Next steps are to get a cooling system put together, and un-drop it so it can be driven on something other than a perfectly flat surface. It has drop spindles and drop springs in the front, and drop springs and a lowering block in the rear, as well as really short tires. The rear is sitting on the bumpstops currently, and the front has about 3" ground clearance.

You can check out all the details of my progress at my blog: https://www.bracketracer.com

Here's what it looked like when I first saw it at PO's place:
