64-5-6 K20 Brake Hardware
I’m redoing the 12x2 K20 drum brakes on my 65, and having a hard time finding the correct springs and hardware. I’ve got the shoes and drums covered, but the hardware is a problem.
What I’d like is a good picture of that specific application- 3/4 ton, 4wd, self adjusting. Unfortunately the factory books pictures are pretty generic, and my Google skills are not up to the task. Also not sure if later 67-69 drums use the same parts as mine. I’ve gone to several “real” parts suppliers in my area, but even they are having a hard time with different books showing conflicting, or obviously wrong information (often lumping them in with C20 or K10 applications which are WAY different). I’ve managed to scrounge several sets of used examples, but they have obviously used some incorrect parts over the years so I’m really not sure what is correct anymore. If I had a good picture I could probably go through the parts store bins and dig up what I need, or use good parts from my “used” pile. Anyone out there found a solution to this? Appreciate any help, Thanks, Tom
