weatherstrip magic

Hello all,

Feels like all aftermarket weather stripping is either too big, too stiff or both

The other day i grabbed stripping from an 02 (CORRECTION 92-97) suburban and guess what?

It cost 5$ and fit great, trimmed a little and the door shuts with ease.

The aftermarket for my truck measures .850" diameter with a .115 wall
the OE 2002 measures ~.700 with a .085 wall.

I will test drive this week and unless it whistles or water comes in I will be grabbing some more next time I am at the pick a pull i will grab enough to replace the other.

Cheers,
Chris
