Silversport TKX Hydraulic Clutch bleeding
Hey guys, I finished installing a full SilverSport Transmissions TKX kit into my 71 C10 over the winter and I love the transmission.
My problem is the hydraulic clutch set up. I have bled it the way they said to, I've used vacuum pumps and pressure bleeders, I've tried every trick in the book out side of pulling the slave cylinder and bleeding it outside the truck...really trying to avoid that. I've talked to their tech folks but I just can't seem to get this thing right. I have decent pedal and I'm not having any trouble getting it into gear while its running and clutch is depressed. It just feels like its not engaging until the last 25% of the pedal travel. I would like to get what I have working before replacing anything. If I do have to do something different, I've looked at the kit that another member sells on here. Any other suggestions or any other members with this set up? I've replaced hydraulic throw out bearings and master cylinders on a lot of different vehicles and I know that some are better than others. (some really suck!) Just getting frustrated and I want to get it right. |
