Elect fans, 2nd go around

The old 69 is running a pair of 14" flex a lites on a home built shroud. I installed a painless kit(185 on, 170 off). the 1st thing was not an overheat problem, but the fans ran all the time @ idle(with a 180 stat). I installed a 160 stat, & those fans kick off/on ......watched her idle for 1 1/2 hrs! not too bad on a 4 row copper/brass rad, huh? I just hope she dont run too cool......i like to see them 180-185, & this one runs tween 170- 182! bet she will be on the bottom side of that temp, cruisin down the hyway crazyL
