Body mount and lift install questions

I have a 77 K20. It has a 350ci, 4-speed, NP205. I have it down to the frame right now and I am getting ready to put a cab off my 77 C20 on. I bought an Energy Suspension polyurethane body mount kit, and a Performance Accessories 2in body lift kit. I hate body lifts, but it was necessary in order for the 2wd cab to clear the t-case. Anyway, what should I know, have ready, be prepared for, etc. when I begin to put things back together? I am mostly concerned with the body lift. Are there going to be any clearence issuses as far as the steering column, or clutch linkage or anything like that? The instructions for the body lift say I have to weld an extension to the clutch rod. Where does this go exactly? Any advice, tips, tricks, or whatever that you have that might help me is appreciated.
