got a fuel leak need help

got a fuel leak coming from the front of my engine, I found where the leak is just not sure what the part is called. (sry no pics dont have a digital camera)
its a cylender looking thing that has 2 hoses and 1 steel fuel line attatched to it. it attaches to the block on the passenger side of the engine towards the front.

could this be a fuel pump?

oh almost forgot its on my 72 gmc 3/4 ton with a 402 engine.
