Painless harness help

I've finished the interior and now have started headlight section.

The GM factory wiring diagram for a 72 C/K shows the side marker lights wired in series with the front park lamps/turn signal. Ground appears to be through rear side markers.

The Painless instuctions instruct "wire #927 (Brn) to all front park lights."

Do I wire each side marker/turn signal in series as in the original? Or, do I chassis ground the front side markers and turn signal lights?

Any help appreciated.
Rich
