Eng id help....
Hey guys I have been having some eng ping going on the timing is at 10 deg I have put new wires and plugs. And there is still a ping under load. So after some talk with a buddy of mine we saw that I have no assy holes, My buddy thought the heads mite be 283 power pack heads. Well I Found out the heads are one of two types 3795896....63-65...283......60cc chamber
3795896....62-64...327......60cc chamber. I can't see the block casting numders but I have the front numbers and they are VO4O5TBG Does anyone know what this block is or where I can look to find out? The eng is in my 71 GMC 3/4 4X4 the tag in the glove box say it should be a 4bbl 350 the old guy I bought the truck from told me he had the 4bbl taken off to save on fuel mileage  Thanks for any help guys.
