No heat for now

I just unhooked my heater core hoses and connected them together. I had a leak last March and did a quick fix as I was working pretty steady, no time to monkey around, so I dumped a bunch of Barr's Leak seal in the rad. It worked up to now, leak is back. So I was wondering how specific are heater cores for my 1970 GMC? I have the opportunity to pull a free one from a 1977 Chev truck, same animal? or different?

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.
