235 Power?
Some of you have probally seen past post from me about the bigger trucks. (1 1/2 - 2 ton) I will be starting a new job soon and will have some extra money to play around with. I was wondering what kind of power can a 235 produce, and still be relieable? Mainly torque rather then horsepower.
We have a junkyard here, and recently havent hauled much. Tho, now that I will have some extra money I may start buying up some of these older vehicles and was wanting to build a roll back to haul them on. I will be using a 58 chevrolet school bus as a doner. I plan on taking the body off and putting big truck fenders, and a regular cab back in its place. Along with the roll back/flat bed. The bus has the 2 speed rear end (8.10 low range, and 6.10? high range), with the SM420 "granny gear" trans. With that gearing the engine wouldnt need massive power, but I was still wondering what kind of numbers a 235 CI could put out, and still last a while.
