Post can it be done?

Is it possible to put a stripped 72 cab in the bed of a 69 longbed? Also, what is the best way to replace upper control arm bushings on my 70 c-10? I did the bushings on a 68 about ten years ago and if I remember I just bought the bushing and it was pretty easy, the parts guys are saying I need the hole shaft assembly now is that right? Thanks for the help.
