82 C-10 Axle Codes - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Does any one know the axle codes for a 82 C10 . I am having trouble
finding out the gear ratio. Had stock a 305 with a 700r4. My friend has an
83 with the same setup and his truck has 3.73 ratio. I am trying to find out
so i can either leav'em or change them. I am about finished planting a
496 BBC, with a M-22 4 speed. I don't want have that setup and have
3.08 gears. Thanks alot

Almost forgot i have the build sheet with the numbers it has
3 digit code and says standard axle

Are we having fun yet OF COURSE
