Before I click checkout – carb questions

Hey all,

I am on the fence on buying a new carb. I am looking at the stage 2 quadrajet (http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...rt=JET%2D36002)

I am wondering if this will be a simple bolt on affair. I have a stock 350 in my 77 C10 that probably still has the original carb on it. I know that changing a carb is not rocket science, and I am confident that by taking the old one off I will have a good understanding of how to put the new one on but, am I missing anything obvious here? Is there anything else that I should be ordering at the same time to make sure this works?

My truck is my primary vehicle so I cannot really afford downtime. My goal is to improve my throttle response and also improve my mileage a tad while I am at it.

Also would there be any substantial difference in my mileage if I went with a stage 1 as opposed to a stage 2?

Thanks -
