Locutus Registered User Join Date: Jan 2003 Location: Santa Fe, Texas Posts: 249	taper on pistons rings what is the purpose of the taper on the inside of 1st and 2nd piston rings. On the inside part one corner is squared and one is angled. Looks Kinda of like this ___ \| \| \|_/
