A guy at work has a buddy that is giving me a complete 72 frame, stripped cab, bed, doors, 3 spd, cherry inner and outer grille as well as the radiator support, and misc parts that are in the bed. I just have to haul it off. I can take my time and clean it up, paint it, and then roll it under my 69. I was wondering if the rearend from my 69 would accept the 72 axles or not? I think that I have a 3.08 and if I remember correctly the 3 spd trucks had lower gears.? Another thing are the manual and auto crossmembers different? Thanks for all of the great information.
