I can help a little here.
Joe told me that he did cut a donor truck for the lower piece and had a friend weld it in. And to see it now, you would never know. It is flawless. And it is black so you know it would show.
Another interesting point to Joes truck was the fact that the same cut was made ABOVE the back window. Only to the seam in the roof and then it was folded up like some kind of water seal. They actually folded it back down and put it in the original place and welded it in.
My memory may be off on some details and Joe can tell you all the facts with some cool pics. Joe, correct me here. If you ever get a chance to see this truck in person and see the before pics and the after product, you will be amazed.
Sorry to step in here Joe, but that truck made a lasting memory.
