New to the 4x4 thing need some suspension advice

New to the 4x4 thing need some suspension advice

I recently purchased a 71 ½ ton that has been converted to a 4x4. It has a 2” suspension lift (front and back) but the front leaf springs are completely shot (sagging under the weight of a 402 BB). With this said, I want to replace the springs and shocks but don’t want to end up with the same problem. I’d like to stay with the 2” lift but should I put back heavy duty front springs? I’m considering HD 2” lift springs from www.suspensionconnection.com Link: http://www.suspensionconnection.com/...on/182612.html.

Will this be enough to compensate for the BB or should I add-a-leaf?

Also, with the 2” lift on the front with an “add-a-leaf” should I go with the 3” rear?

By the way, I’ll be using this truck periodically for hauling a bass boat but not for wheeling.

Thanks for your help,
Ian
