Cool Alternator

Want to get rid of my external regulator. There's a few 105 amp alts. on ebay and other sites that I'm interested in. They have a 1 and/or 3 wire application. Has any one done this changeover and what would be the best appl. 1 or 3 wire.

I would recommend going with the three wire.
