My truck has 4.5/6 drop. I used the KYB shocks that Early Classics sells. I couldn't be happier with them.

I'm with TX. KYB is a good shock to run, they are included in the drop kit if you go that route.

I am also looking for opinions on shocks for lowered trucks. I can buy KYB's local. Do you have to use a special KYB for a lowered truck?

I am using Doetsch Tech lowering shocks that Classic Performance sells and Have nothing but good things to say about them, from fit to finish. If you are lowering your truck make sure you get the correct lenth of shock to match your drop.

Summit "sport truck shocks" for lowered trucks are actually reboxed Doetsch Techs. You have to look close, but the brand is stamped into the shock bodies.

KYBs can be gotten from places cheaper than ECE, but ECE has done the research and found which part numbers to use for lowered trucks. They are shorter than stock truck shocks. Who knows what they are supposed to fit originally.
