I've created a monster!!

I guess this is how I became interested and learned to do what I do, watching my pop do things like this. While making a replacement piece of sheetmetal for the firewall to replace the rusted one, my 4 year old decided he wanted to help make one too! Of course, it's the old piece I cut out, but he was having a blast regardless!! It's fun having him in the shop, working on "his" truck together!

Just the opposite here! He likes to take the tools I am using at the time and put them all in my tool cart! They are not there when I need them, but I can usually find them all piled back in the cart.

I'm waiting for the day I come out to find my motorcycle torn apart

That boy is GOOD Glock! The piece fits perfect.

I think my 16 y/o has finally learned to put my tools back where he got them when he's done, be then again he'll wash his truck and leave bucket, brush, soap, wheel cleaner and garden hose all over the driveway. Maybe in another 16 years. . .

I love the fact that my dauters pick up my tools and try to wrench with me. untill they stick the screw driver into the grill. ha ha. I have told my wife that my girls will know how to do at least the basics on their own rides. that is when they are a litle older than 4 and 1.

a couple of weekends ago i was fall cleaning the garage and all my tools were out in the driveway and i walked around the house to get a drink saw the boys had my high lift jack up under my ground effects(plastic and bendable) on my stang. That had it off the ground on one side! I as not sure to show them on how to correctly place a jack or kick there lil tails! It scared me more like when the oldest was trying to play with the extension cord with a screw driver still plugged in!

Please, I'd rather do it myself.....

Screwdriver in the grille wouldn't be too bad, as long as it missed the radiator...

Yeah that's a must.At least know where to put the fluids, and how to air up a tire.Sometimes the girls get overlooked, and it's sad IMO.

I'm 21 and loose my own wrenches. I've lost my 1/2, 13, 16, a set of nice plyars and who knows what else but i'm irate about the loss of the 1/2 and 13 b/c they're interchangable. just like a 15 and 9/16, 11 and 7/16, 19 and 5/8

sswj and i can't wait to get my own kid to show how to do this kinda work. Jen and I just had a misscarrage and we're going to try again soon. sswj

Speaking of losing tools. We found how easy it is to lose them while working on a 82+ van with the dog box off. Once they lay on the transmission and everything shifts around (from working) little bit, they're gone...
