HEI Problem
The tack side of the HEI is hot with the key on. I dont think this is right. If there is something wrong would it be the module? AM I missing something?

i think it should be hot...there is power going to it when the key is on for the hole system to work....and it sends power to the tach to tell it to zero....then the pulses make the tach work.

i think it's solid hot and pulses when running...hook a tach wire to the terminal start the motor and hold the end of the wire...you will feel the pulses.

plus the power coming out of the tach side of the coil is AC not DC so it will give a funny DC reading, But AC you will notice the voltage stay the same at any given RPM
