I'm getting about 12 mpg. That's with some modest headers, an Edelbrock Performer intake & 1406 carb. Switched to synthetic oil and added a K&N air filter- no effect on milage. The 700r4 was the biggest help. I can get almost 14 if I avoid rush hour and keep a light foot. Something I've been meaning to ask- What (if any) timing would be the best for mileage? Appreciate any thoughts on that.

350, 3spd, Holley spread bore, HEI and light foot average about 12-15. Did get 25mpg one time, filled up a the top of the hill and filled up again at the bottom. LOL
