Interesting numbers
My truck has been running rough lately, almost like a miss but not quite that bad. At work I got the idea to use the noncontact thermometer and see what the temps for each cylinder's exhaust manifold. Looks like I am gonna have to pull the intake and see what's going on in there!
1-7 300 degrees 8 180 degrees Whaddaya'll think?

Almost a miss...but not quite as bad....sounding like a lifter problem or a lobe missing on the cam.

Could you imagine how stupid one would feel, pullin the intake and stuff off...when it was just a dirty spark plug?

Place the inductive pickup for your timing light on the #8 plug wire to see if you are getting power to that wire - check the plug, maybe try a different plug. You may well be running on seven cylinders, maybe as simple as a bad plug or bad wire...

Krue, which cylinder had the bad lobe on your cam, I don't remember. But like the others check the plug, if itis the bad lobe then it'll probably foul up quick that the others and who the heck knows what else.

New plug, been checked, new wires, been checked, used timing light and checked all 8..firing fine. Gonna check lifter movement to make sure not a stuck valve.
Bill it's not the cylinder I thought the cam was bad on, it's the one next to it.
