I'm not possitive but I think the 241 has a better ratio with an OD trans. I've never had a 241 but thats what I hear.

You should have the 241 in your truck, if it is the '89 Blazer you have up for sale.

241C should be a drivers side drop IIRC, where the 208 is a passenger side. i think the passenger drop 241s are listed under a different model number.

Passenger drop 241s were used in '89 - '91 Blazers and Suburbans. The 241 is the newer design that replaced the 208 in '88 - '89. Both cases have similar specs. Supposedly the 241 has a better oiling system. Low range is also a bit deeper in the 241 as you have noted.

Mental note one is not stronger than the other I have blow both models right to hellll. oil system is not worth talking about as both are fine. 241 is a little deeper but that is no matter with a 700 trans. lo range 1st gear is just silly especially with the 4.56 gear i have. I think I can go 2 mph, If i get a good downhill run. I now have a 208 installed.

why would you go for a 208 over a 241? the 241 not only offers the lower low range, but also the ability to upgrade to a SYE.

I think the NP241 has a higher tq input rating as well...but then again if its what you got, its what you got.
