The number on my box is 6428361. My pickup is a '70 w/350. I've had it 6-8 months, and bought it from the GM dealer I work for.

You got a sending unit from GM? I haven't tried GM yet..I went to NAPA and they don't carry the right one.
I got a tank and sending unit from Chevy Dude and his is 5/16 and mine is a 3/8. I went to Parker Fluid fittings to get something to bring the two together but they don't have anything...
So I guess I'l have to spend the 50 or so bucks for a new one.

I just installed one that I bought from Scotts Super Trucks here in Alberta, it works fine. I have an original one in working order as a spare(not that Ill ever use it). The new one cost me 60 Can I think thats about 45 USD.

That 72 unit won't work on the 70 truck. The 70 should have one line coming out, the 71/72 has 2 or 3 on there.
Big block small block, no difference. Just needs a 3/8 line 67 - 70 sending unit.

My 71 GMC has one 3/8 line......The one I got from Chevy Dude. has one 5/16 I forget the yr his came out of. You would think someone would of made a fitting to make this work...lol

I was looking though a Venders parts book and I could not believe just how many different sending units GM made for just a few yrs.
