Question Chrome drip rail molding Help!!!!

I tried this just after I finished my 71 super, but I scratched paint and got pisse and wadded the moldings up and threw them in the dumpster, and repainted the rails. I just got through looking at ECE's web page about spindles for my other truck and looked at pics. -long story short I want to put the moldings on again... does anyone one have any advice, tips etc. for me before I shell out $120 bucks again. Thanks Harold

Tape off the paint around the area your going to put the molding with some good 3M tape and take it slow, double it if you have two. you might need a helper, extra set of hands might be the answer.

Here are a few pointer's from the golden state builder's guide..
#1 make sure there is no excess caulking or paint build up between the roof and rail.
#2install the door section's first starting at the upper most corner.
#3 when the uppermost corner is in place fasten the rear mouldingall the way down to the lower edge.
#4after the rear is attached,do the same along upper edge about half way.

They suggest using a soft rubber hammer to press the moulding on firmly...

Hope this help's you out..
