Question Rear brake interchange

Are the rear brakes the same on 5 and 6 lug rears, I bought a parts truck with 5 lug rear and it's missing the backing plate and brakes and wanted to swap it from the 6 lug??

I'm am not totally positive, but I beleive a friend of mine converted his 6 lug to 5 lug just by swapping axles, and drums. So if it'll bolt to the axle, it should be the same. I also have two complete drum setups of a 71-72 5 lug rear end. I converted to discs, so if you need anything, let me know.
