Question Heater Hose Connections?

I seem to be short one heater hose connection!
I have a 1975 350 in my 67 C10 that was a six. The original motor had a heater hose connection on the water pump but the V8 pump does not and was designed so one hose went to the radiator. I do have a connection on the manifold too.

Is there a way I can use this pump and my original radiator. I am trying not to break the budget here. I put the V8 in the six position so I want to keep the long pump. I noticed that the V8 pump has a temp sending unit in it on top, could I put a heater hose fitting in there?

How have others set this up? Any and all responses would be greatly appreciated and I'll buy the next round.
Thanks.

The V-8 pump does have a connection, you just have to take out the plug and install a nipple for the heater hose.

Randy70C-10:
I rechecked the pump and the only possible place for a heater hose connect would be the water temp sensor on top. Is this the plug you are talking about?
Thanks.

Yep, take out the temp sender (on top of the long style water pump) and use that port for the heater hose. If you can, there
may be a plug in one side of the head to you can use to insert
the temp probe in. This is the way I had my motor, until I
got a new 3-core radiator, I ordered it with the 5/8" nipple on
the radiator.

I'd pull the temp sender out of the waterpump and install your fitting there....and put the sender in the head where God intended it to be.

The other option is to have any local radiator shop install a heater return nipple in your radiator. I had this done recently - doesn't cost much.
