broken u bolts help!
 Heys guys I own a 1972 Chevy Cheyanne Super, and the other day i was on my way home and my ubolts broke therefore leaving my suspension sitting on the driveway. Is this an easy job? Thanks

It would be best to look at your cups holding your springs onto the trailing arms at the same time and replace them as well while things are apart. GM offers the cups and U bolts.
Be sure to jack the vehicle up by the frame to relieve all tension from the springs. Take your time and be careful. And before long you will be

Are you talking about the rear axle u-bolts or the front control arm u-bolts?
Either one breaking would leeave your truck grounded.

GM went to larger front u-bolts because of this happening.
Get the bigger GM ones and it's a straight forward job. Just make sure and support the arm with a jack so the spring doesnt't fly out and make sure the lower shaft sets onto the dimple properly in the u-bolt saddle.
