Good prices on tires or wheel/tire combos?

Can you guys recommend a website that has good deals on tires or wheel/tire combos?

I have seen the ads in the magazines and it almost seems that buying tires locally might cost the same as buying a wheel/tire package over the internet.

I am looking for 31x10.5-15 or 32x11.5-15 all terrains and maybe the black steel wheels (Desert Crawlers?).

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

www.tyres1.com is good, and so is www.natltire.com . I prefer to just buy them locally though.

READ ---> DO NOT BUY from www.4wheelparts.com , even if they are cheaper I would pay more to buy it from someone else. They have poor customer service, they lie, and they have a bogus tire warranty.

Best Deal

I bought my M/T Claws and Challenger wheels from Desert Rat. Just a tip when you are ready to buy. Go through your mags or look on the net and write the name and Phone # of everyone who sells what you are interested in. Start at the top of your list and ask for a price quote. Get the salesmans name and ext# and tell him you are calling lots of people shopping for your best deal. Tell them you are ready to spend money TODAY and most will tell you to call them back with the best deal you can find and they will match plus x %. If they question your quote just give them the name and ext you have written down on your list so it can be verified. The prices quoted in mags and on the net are starting points, these people will negotiate if you are ready to buy. This method saved me $ on the M/Ts.

1010tires.com. They're Canadian, so watch whether prices are in USD or CND.

Great advice, see ten.

I agree, it was a close call as to which way to go when I bought my tires. I ended up buying locally, 'cause I didn't want more rims and tires laying around my garage, and I like the face to face interaction. Besides, if I have a tire go, I can run over and deal with them again. Just my .02...

I bought wheels and tires from 4WheelParts, got the road hazard warranty, and they replaced 2 10,000 - 20,000 mile tires for me at no charge, no questions (one of them was cut on the sidewall, looks like it was slashed). I was dealing with a local store though, not over the internet. They have also closed their location too, so I don't know what I would do now if I had another problem. I have sold the truck and the tires, so I don't care, but I would have no problem recommending them as long as you're dealing with someone face to face in a store.

Tirerack.com also has decent prices and a good reputation. I think they also have good deals on shipping, if I remember right.

Thanks for the info...

I have dealt with tirerack and tires.com for my car and my wife's car.

I was hoping you guys would know of a place that dealt with truck tires exclusively.

1969K10 - Your sig says you have a 1696 K10, that is one old truck!

get a price from one company , then call one of theyr major competitors and tell them that this place will sell them to you for so much , if you want knock 100 bucks off the first persons price , then let that other company scramble to beat that price , works like a charm , try it with your local tire dealers to
