C-notch

Anybody have a used one??? I don't want to shell out $180 for a piece of steel they have $10 into. I made one with a spare frame, but don't know if I want to go that route anymore.

Can you weld? If so, use a 6" steel tube and cut it in half. Box the frame about 6" either side, then cut out the area where the half tube will go. --------------- sorta like that.

If you can weld, make your own. I've never seen aftermarket weld in rounded C notches.

Any idea on what gauge or thickness? I am ordering today and not sure. What is the thickness on our frames?

Thanks

frame is only around 3/16 thick. Notches are 1/4. Thats why I didn't know if the frame made one would be good enough.

Thicker is always better for a 2wd. Not sure how the 4x4 frames need to flex. N/A anyway.

Thumbs up

I bought my C-Notch kit from Classic Performance Products
for $170. After getting the frame powdercoated it looked like factory. I have pics of the finish frame if you like.

I would like to see your pics 70chevy! How much have you lowered your truck? How much suspension travel do you have and how high off the ground is the bottom of your frame?

Thank Again
