UPDATE:
I went to look at it yesterday as the wife said I could get it if I wanted . when I called on Thursday his wife told me it had to go & they were thinking around $750 but will be willing to deal some as he was getting another project (corvette). I drove up & saw the truck . the wood bed was done with left over deck planking & even has the gaps between the boards just like on a deck. carriage bolts galore. both rockers, both cab corners were in fact replaced but just welded on with what appears to have been a stick welder. no paint or primer & the doors dont open & close right anymore probably due to not bracing the cab prior to removal. it is also a original 6 cyl-4speed but now has a worn out 305 2 bbl. no bumpers. he said the inner rear fenders are in good shape while I was looking at them & seeing how the drivers side behind the wheel well is pushed out about 2 inches & away from the edge of floor. I then start to deal by saying I am not prepared to offer $750 when he rudely interupts with "I had it listed for $1000 & wont take a penny less". all the time I was looking the truck over I said absolutely nothing concerning the condition. if he does come down in price I may still be willing to deal but I wont pay more than $400. it does in fact have an original Dana 44 with 3.73:1 posi. am I in the wrong here? all I am looking for is a project/garage filler. The ay you describe it I would go $400 as well. You will spend a lot of time fixing his mistakes. Too bad he's getting a corvette, if he fixes it up like he did his truck that will be another one down the drain.

I went and looked at a rebuilt cab once, -I'm not proud of my welding/it's strong-not pretty/some say it's fine. I could have used peanut butter and it would have been better than what that guys welding work looked like -Scared me!/slobbed together. He did sell it, -asked $800.
