68 CST with buckets.. whats it worth?
Found this one for sale while riding today ( ). Its near Atlanta and appears to be in decent shape. Some rust repair was done on the drivers side rocker, minor pinhole rust behind rear tires. Needs paint, exhaust manifolds are cracked, dinged up trim etc... Floors and cab corners are solid. Good tires... Whats it worth fellers??

Looks nice I would offer 2500 cash and see what they say. Plus those bucket seats are worth about 350 bucks the way they are in the truck.

There was no price on it and nobody around. I've got a phone number. I'll give him a call tomorrow. I don't want to advertise someone elses truck without their permission. If the owner is ok with it, I will post the number and price. It looks like a good driver and could be easily restored.

Dunno what it is worth...quite a bit if you were to drag it up here.
I DO know I would give my left lug nut for it though. |

Just curious.... How did you get all of the pics (motor, option sheet, interior) if the guy who was selling it wasn't around?!?!

Jason, The truck was out in front of a parts store that was closed for New Years. One of these places were people park cars for sale.

Bill's right....same here in Arkansas. Looks like a good basis for a restoration. NADA would put it in the 5-6K range, in that condition, but who buys these trucks based on what NADA has for info?

Nice truck--$4-5M maybe. I'd be very suspicious of the floor next to cowl tho. I also wouldn't want to drive it on I-85 until those front drum brakes were changed to power discs.!

I'd price it $3500-$4500 if the body is really as nice as it looks in the pictures. Has it had a repaint or is the paint original? It looks repainted to me I don't know why. Obviously the hub caps and mirrors are not stock. You'll also have to rework those spark plug wires and route them up correctly from the bottom.
Is that the original 327 block in there? That would add to the value somewhat if it is IMO. It looks like it's been painted some time recently. Perhaps it's been rebuilt. That'd be a nice find if you can get it reasonably.

I suspect it's an older semi-restoration. Numerous things incorrect-mirrors, rear bumper, bucket seats in a custom, etc, etc. but nothing serious. More original than most. The wires are routed the way they are because the're the wrong wires.

It`s a CST w/Buckets according to VIN-spec.I know what people ask these days, but in all fairness I`d pay no more than $3,000-3500.It`s nice,I`d have it.Wouldn`t be surprised if he`s asking $4,500,though.

It does have incorrect mirrors but I think the buckets and CST option are original. They are listed in the glovebox. I talked to the owner. He is asking $7500. If anybody is interested PM me and I will forward his number.

I think some of you guys are way too picky. Nice truck. More in the $5k price range though.

I only live a couple hours from atlanta off of I-85 and I've seen trucks just as nice or nicer go for 3000-3500....7500 is WAY too high.

What's wrong with people trying to make a good deal? There is a lot of knowledge on this board and it amazes me how much people can pick out about a truck by just looking at a picture. No one is ripping on the truck, they are just noting things that aren't what would be found on a factory CST. And like I said before, I live in the area the truck is for sale and 7500 is a rip off. I've seen NICER and BETTER trucks, CST's and Cheyennes go anywhere from 2500-5000. 7500 is way too high, and I say cudos (sp?) to anyone who can spot the tiniest of differences from a picture! good job y'all! I hate to say it, but most of our trucks, as much as we love them, aren't worth much. My 67 has a crate engine, 700R4, power disks and a straight, fairly rust free body and I'd be lucky, in the area I live, to get more than $2,500 out of it.
