Another Tilt Question
Here is a link to my thread showing what my original set-up looked like. Is there room to move the column in more ?
http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...highlight=tilt With my new set-up the wheel+adaptor will stick out about 4 inches more. Can you tell if my inter-shaft has already been collapsed ? If not, this would give the the extra room I desire. Here is a pic of the shaft as it sits now.

I'd go a little further, I have mine set at 2" from the collapse point to the upper, but I like my steering column a little closer to the dash for comfort, you might wanna go 3"
Wow I just notice my boot needs some help, adjustment necessary Last edited by 72dually; 01-03-2005 at 11:22 PM. |

Will the NSS clearance be an issue if I shorten the shaft ? I used the 5 1/2 in. measurement from the slot when I relocated it.

If your intermediate shaft wil expand and collapse by hand the all you have to do is mount the whole works in the truck but don't tighten anything down. Once installed you can push and pull on the steering wheel till you get it to feel right as far as distance from you. Thats why I like the intermediate to be able to slide fairly easily
