Noise help
Looking at a freind of mines truck 76 350 makes a rattling sound, you can really hear it underneath. Best I can describe it is a diesel like rattling not as load as a diesel but that is the best I can compare to. Can not hear it in the cab when driving but underneath and with the hood up you can hear it.
Thanks for any help

sounds like piston clatter, or piston slap. the cylinders are woredown enough that there is enough room in the bore for the piston to cock sideways in the cylinder, if it keeps at it, he will eventually bust the piston and send the small end of the rod threw the block.
