Will a 99+ Split-Bench Seat look weird?

I'm REALLY wanting to get a 99+ Chevy truck Split-Bench seat in my truck. I know a guy who owns a salvage yard, that always gets messed up new trucks, with GOOD seats. But my concern is, how will they look? Will they be much narrower than the stock bench, so there'll be a lot of room on each side of the seat (between edge of seat and door)?

I don't think it will look good. The only way I would use a NBS seat(s) is if the head rests were shaved, the seats re-shaped and covered in a high-quality leather or cloth. The factory material is crap and a factory seat will clash w/ our old-skool interiors, IMO.

Clashing is my middle name I just wanna know if our cab's will dwarf the seat, or will I still be able to fit 3 people comfortably in my truck.

If you can fit three people in a 99+ truck I don't see why it wouldn't be just as comfortable or more so because of the added room IMO

The width difference between the two is only about an inch. The only thing I have heard about the 99 plus is it makes them sit way too high because of the mounts for the tracks and integrated belts. The tank location of the 73-87's make it alot harder to mount then what it takes to put them in the 67-72 style trucks.

Tim, I don't think it will work well at all. If you have a chance take a look at second row seats for Tahoe's and Burbs from 88-99 models. They seem to work much better....
