well, I've never, ever "nominated" myself for anything, but your requirements just hit too close to home so, I hope no one minds.

the boyfriend cant nominate the girlfriend's truck... thats biased! i'm sure there are much better examples of factory restorations out there.... maybe one of CPNE's trucks or GMCPaul's trucks, or maybe Huck's truck? if i had to nominate someone myself, i would nominate CPNE, cause i'm sure that as nutty as he is with "by-the-book" info, he surely has one or two pristine classic trucks in his possession! (thats a compliment, CPNE!) thanks, bloo -- i really appreciate the unnecessary nomination! ciao! jewels. p.s. i'm back --- six months of no computer is enough to drive you batty.... picked up an old laptop ready for linux.... watch out truck board, here i come!

I nominate Dean's K20
I think this is the sweetest truck...and I love the color! I am hoping my k20 will look as nice as it someday. I think the most noticeable thing that is not stock are the wheels...here are some pics.

And I want to withdraw my truck from this months voting. It is 100% stock (right down to the spilt rims :p )but is not in the same class as the other nominees, and there are other trucks more deserving. I can only nominate 1, but I know Mike Files and VTBlazer have a couple of stockers that may qualify in its place.
Thanks anyway Jr!

PO cut dash for CD player I love the music, hate the hole so it stays. Plan on a radio delete trap door and set the player in a little deeper to gain back stock look at least in the cab.

Thanks for the nomination on my Green K20. It is pretty much stock except for the 4" lift, wheels/tires & Eldebrock carb. I drove it to the Ohio meet which no problems. That was the furthest trip so far. It is currently hibernating in my garage along with my other toys...come on spring.
Specs on truck are: 1971 Cheyenne K20 350/th350 Tilt, AM-FM, buckets, 4.56 gears with locker in back and posi in front, ps, pb, etc etc. It was a complete body off restoration using a 20,000 mile rust free body. I never even painted the inside of the cab it was so good. |

I am humbled by your nomination 96Blzer! your truck looks great, and much more stock than mine. Mine looks stock at a glance until you notice that it has been lowered with a 2/4 drop, gas tank moved,72 sport mirrors, thats what you can see. Its a 67 with a 71 frame, power disc brakes, power steering, and a very strong 383 Stroker motor. My truck started life as a 67 LWB, 283 with a power glide. I was going to restore it, then I bought a 72 4WD that was a rust bucket but had a nice 383 Stroker Motor in it. Then I was going to put this frame and motor under my 67 until I came across a 71 SWB frame and bed for $500.00. So after about 2 years this is what I ended up with. I have always been into 4x4's and I absolutely love that 402 Bowtie truck! Still to do on my truck is 700R to replace the powerglide and a stereo. I can't post pics so I will send them to the Boss

A Wolf in Sheeps clothing, huh? Well, to me it looks pretty much stock and I didn't realize it had so much work done to it. IMHO it's a real nice truck RS.
