Talking

Bought in Oct 03. Driven daily while saving parts and money until Aug 04. Finished complete frame off restoration Christmas 04. I put in a new crate engine, freshen the
drive train, rebuilt the carb and distributor. I installed a blazer tank, totally new
interior, new trim, bumpers, and emblems. I rebuilt the door internals and the wing
vent windows. Rebuilt and recovered the seat. Undercoated the cab. Cleaned up and
repainted the grill. Every body panel, bracket, hinge, etc was removed, sanded and
painted front and back. This is even my first paint job. I installed all of the glass pieces
except the windshield (which leaked at first). All of this working nights and weekends
at my home. Yeah I'm proud.

I couldn't have done it with out this board and it's members. Thanks guys.

Not a truck but here's my old 1930 Model A (Chevy powered Ford), note the 70 Chevy trailing arms on the first pic. I ran these for 3 years before a friend of mine hand-built a 2x3 inch square tube chassis (second pic). My best friend Wayne Hill did the machine work on the GMC 6:71 blown 355. The blower was built "for me" by Bob Manning in Portsmouth VA. It WAS NOT UNDERDRIVEN!! I ran it with a "straight up" 1:1 drive ratio. I did the bodywork, paint, assembly, interior, and wiring of the car myself. My friend Mike Hill (who also built the chassis) filled the roof in using the roof from a 1970 Dodge Dart. The carb was a Holley 750 Dominator. It outperformed my 2x4 bbl setup by a longshot!

Big Dave what are the numbers on your drop? It looks great! My truck isn't back together yet and you've got me thinking I didn't go low enough.

That's the 3 1/2" front and 5" rear drop kit from Early Classic Enterprises. That's what Dave recommended since I've got the 402BB and longbed.

I also used the opportunity to replace the front rotors with ECE's slotted, cross-drilled replacements and new calipers too.
