Best way to pack doors for shipping ?
I have some doors I need sent to me and the seller and I are trying to figure out the best way to pack them to ship. They are being sent via Yellow Freight if that helps.

Yellow freight is a ground carrier. Freight is moved palletized. Band em to a 48"x40 skid. shrink wrap some cardboard to cover up the doors from inadvertant scratches and write "TOP LOAD ONLY" on top of it to keep some moron from double stacking your freight.
Edit: Have them sent to a commercial dock for pick up. If you do not have one available pick it up at their dock.

I would insure those heavily if they are nice NOS doors!

The BEST way ( not really the easiest or cheapest ) would be to crate them in wood. Block them in the crate to prevent movement or contact with the inside of the crate.

That is the best way. Better figure out their rate structure first though. There was another guy that sent their NOS doors via UPS. Only used boxes for packing. Some dirtball stepped on his doors and they were ruined. He had a long thread on the General forum. Better safe than sorry.
