I think they have been trying to sell this one for quite a while. I think they wanted around $12K (if it is the same one.)
Have you seen the Jimmy on e-bay. It is very nice too! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

The Jimmy is mint, the Blazer I am not too sure about. |

The blazer rocker doesn't look quite right. Looks like a replacement the way it's bubbled up on the seam!

Jimmy
The Jimmy gets my vote. If it is all original it appears to be one of the nicest first gens I have seen.

The Blazer looks fishy to me. Only 40,000 miles but it's already been repainted, note the lettering on the tailgate. Also, it looks like a crate motor in it.

He also states that the tranny has been replaced too. Why, if less than 41,000 miles on it?
I'm not trying to put the truck down because it is a beauty, but the red flags are going up.

That is a sweet Jimmy. It's a shame that they butchered the dash to put in that cheesy aftermarket stereo though. If your gonna cut the dash put a good system in there.

The jacking instructions on that Blazer look pristine. I wonder if the seller would snap a nice digital close-up for us...

Jimmy
Jimmy looks nice. I se a lot of spray bomb black and orange though. I didn't see where owner/seller claimed original paint. They also make several statements about "appears" which probably truely represents what they see and know.
My preference is to buy directly from the owners when at all possible to look them in the eye and ask questions for their knowledge or what they are willing to share. I prefer not to buy from dealers for this reason. Same thing with real estate, agents usually wave a broad arm or "I don't know". Maybe I am old fashion and like to deal one on one with a good hand shake. Both of these trucks look like good remaining examples of the past, not too many of those left.

Bob, that's exactly why buying the '72 from you was a good experience. You have the knowledge and are more than willing to share it. I wish every auto purchase went as well as the purchase I made from you!
