rear leaf for blazer?

can I use rear leaf springs from other trucks on my 72 K5? I saw some on a 72 K20 and some on a GMC half ton. same year.

Are you trying to get heavier springs?

I have a 79 3/4 ton leaf pack under my 70 springs. the 79 pack is longer, but I wanted real heavy springs, so I just used every thing except the main spring from the 79 pack. The second spring is as long as the 70 main spring and that works good for me. You could pull off the 79 main and second spring and have a good set that was close to original.

let me clairify a little. I took my 70 spring pack apart and threw away everything except the main spring. I then took apart a 79 spring pack and threw away the main spring. I stuffed the 79 pack under the 70 main and bolted the mess up.

Works great.

Hope this helps
