LED Taillight kits on E-bay

I can tell you exactly where to buy the LEDs for less than $1 a
piece. I can tell you where to get the bread board, the solder,
and wire. You'll probably pay about $60-$75 per set. Doing it
yourself may save some money, but that's if you know how to
wire them up. That doesn't include the components we add to
prevent the alternator, starter, or battery from burning out LEDs
because of too much current, or voltage. Even with all of
this, you'd be surprised how many come back with the boards
RUINED because someone thought they knew how to "tweak" it,
without screwing it up.
We have had to add a new warranty clause because of some of the
attempted mods some folks have tried. What Greyound Steve said
is accurate.

Ive done nothing but read pages upon pages on leds this past couple of weeks and ive come to the conclusion that i will be buying my rear taillights from ece. It just doesnt make any sense to try and make them yourself at that price.

As far as the rest of my led ventures. I will hopefully have pics for everyone by the end of next week but that is being optamistic. I have gone to great lengths to replace EVERY SINGLE BULB in my truck with led's and with all of the updated components ive used in my interior it hasnt been an easy task but i think ive finally got every light accounted for. The real trouble for me was my lcd speedo and the power window and lock switches. Those items were never intended to be replaced but with my paint scheme i wanted nothing but blue interior lights in my truck and hopefully the end result with justify the means because countless hours have been spent on this and alot of the leds i bought were expensive, some in the neighborhood of $7 a peice. I probably have over $200 invested in interior leds alone but hopefully ive done something cool here and im anchous as hell to see how it all looks but i keep running into one set back after another on my interior so i dont honestly know when i'll have it all done but hopefully it will be sooner than later because im quickly running out of $.

Ive tried to though its tough to top some of the guys around here i feel i have done it with my interior. Im starting with the cab and working around the truck from there. I had the cab painted and on the frame last week but then when the bed was being put on it was rammed into the cab scratching the paint so it has been removed again and is in the process of being fixed. I am hopefull that it will be back on the frame by the end of the week so that we can begin wiring it and installing the interior. Everything in the can is custom minus the tilt column which is a truck tilt. Everything else has either been fabricated or is off a late model vehicle. If all goes as planned i'd like to have some pics soon but ive begun to realize that nothing goes as planned so im optomistic about getting it to a good point to snap some photos in about a month or so. The work on the headliner, kick panels and speaker box hasnt even begun yet but they are all being made out of honeycomb like the door panels and if they turn out half as nice this will be one heck of an interior. I also had the gauge bezel finished but then the guy who made it wanted to redo it with an insert so im anxous to see how that turned out too. Its amazing what he can do with solid serfaces and i chose a material made by Avonite called "black ice" but he thought it turned out too plain (though i thought it looked great the way it was) but he wanted to redo it anyway. He is also making me a matching glovebox door, door panel inserts, heater controls and we plan to use it on the fold down center console as well but this stuff takes alot of time and he has over 60 hours invested in the gauge bezel alone so its a process. When i feel the truck is at a point to snap some photos i will post them but right now the only things that are completed are the seats and a few other random parts. When it is done you can bet i'll have MANY pics and the full story on how everything was done.

I've got the ones Jmac developed. Had them for over a year now I really like them, a lot brighter than stock also they fill up the whole lens.

Gotta love LEDs! I want to convert all my lights to LED.
As far as 194 bulb replacement http://www.jamstrait.com/products.html

But for the full effect for rear tails only one LED insert will do. ECEs but I would say that! LOL

The ones listed in the e-bay auction are the same ones you can get from Jegs for 100 bucks, youhave to har wire them in...I have yet to see how they look though.
I've been beating my head on those stepside lights....still can't come up with a good way to do it yet.
Still messing with them though...

I figured out a way to mount the 4" lights on my stepside. I bought a universal 6V tractor light that had a nice bullet shaped housing. The 4" gromment mount lights fit the housing from the tractor light, which can be attached to the stock stepside tail light brackets.

The tractor light was $12.50, so with a $50 set of led lights, the whole deal will run $75.

I've had the ones Jmac makes for a couple of years and love them waaayy brighter than stock. And by the way they will fit burbs also.

The LED lights are a great upgrade, but I wonder when someone will build a set of red LEDs [they have red ones right?] to place behind a clear lens, that is the look I would prefer...

Im pretty sure that ALL of them light up red.
