I'm pretty certain it's a done deal, I made the guy an offer and will be sending him a deposit to hold till I can get off work long enough to go get it. (anyone know of a cheap way of shipping it?).

He's had it for just over 14 years and seems to be a pretty honest person. My question is the 307 that's in it. He said it was rebuilt several years back and runs pretty strong, but just how strong does a 307 run, I don't know much about 'em.

307s

Jim, I have a 307 in my 68 and it is a sweet little motor that gets decent mileage and runs super. It does not have the power of the 350, but winds out nicely like the 327s. Here is a PIC of my 307 now, sorry if you already have seen it.

Thanks mike, your engine looks sweet and it's good to hear that they're decent engines. He sent me some photos of the engine compartment and naturally it doesn't look anything like that but then if it did the price would reflect right? Oh ya, thanks again for posting the ad!

70c10 - is that a very big town?

You are very welcome, good luck with your new ride! I only spent about 400 dollars on the engine upgrade. The stock 2bbl ran great, just wanted to spruce her up a bit.

I just can't wait to get it - it's driving me crazy.

Here's a few additional photos of the interior as well as the engine compartment.
