Unhappy Dust Seals ?

Okay, I got the truck back from the paint and body shop. Trouble is during the re-build and the hanging of the sheet metal and so forth the fender dust sheilds were left off that attach around the door hinges just forward of the door opening. Is this a big deal and a necessary item or is it a minor irritation that is not really needed or used? The seal kit came with two long parts that are cut to fit the door hinges and four smaller oval like parts and no instructions. Can they be installed with the fenders and doors on? If so how do they attach? See no real apparent way to do such. The old fenders did not have them so are they really needed? The fenders and doors fit good and really don't want to take them back off if these are not a needed item.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info longhornmail. Guess I don't have to worry that my fenders need to come back off then. Spent some money on the truck that was not necessary but then what the hell. Money is only a concept and these trucks are classic!

When is the debut? I'm ready to see it and discuss and cuss all the work over a few Buds! Stick those extras on a shelf, and if the opportunity arises, you can put them in later. I got a feelin' you aint gonna leave it parked out in the pasture anyway. Let me know, I'll be over and check it out. Can't wait to see you behind that wheel with that big ol' grin on your face, he-hee!
