can i buy a whole floor for my 69 burb?if so where?

Need to know if you mean the metal portion under the front two seats or the plywood floor in the rear cargo area.

I have only seen the metal floor patch panels for in front of the front seat on both sides. Basically either side of the hump from the back of the hump to a few inches above the floor seam beneath the pedals that runs from the hump to the kick panels. That portion of the floor matches the pickups. AFAIK, for the floor under the driver's bench seat and second seat, the only source is cutting one out of another burb. This would probably be cheaper anyway. The rear portion of the burb metal floors rarely rusts out, so a plentiful supply should be found amongst wrecking yard burbs.

im in SE kansas. there are only 2 burbs around here. the other one is being restored. it has a factory 396 that is being completly overhauled. wish it was mine. do you think somebody with a little more metal working experiance(i have none) could get a piece sheet metal and make a floor?

Anything is possible with enough skill or money...or both...depending on how big of a hurry you are in, every once in awhile someone will scrape one out on the parts board. You also may want to try calling up some of the vendors on here and see if they have a shell laying around they would be willing to sell the floor out of.

You need to be careful regarding the floors reinforced seat and seatbelt mounting locations. You don't want a seat to go thru the floor in an accident because the factory reinforced mount points were replaced with plain sheetmetal.

Otherwise, the floor does have a somewhat complicated shape around the front seat and it also has an arch to it with the outer edges sloping downward. I would call other cities near you to find some burbs in wrecking yards. Then make a road trip to have the yard cut out the portion you need. If you and they marked the floor during your visit, the yard could do the cutting and you could come back for it or have them ship it. Just some ideas.
