proper way to drop a truck...
Okay, I'd like to do about a 4/6" drop on my 67 once I start tearing into it. What is the proper way to do this? What parts do I need, and where can I get the parts? Also, what is the way to properly set up drivetrain geometry? This is a 2 piece driveshaft style truck.

6'' drop spring in the back(or 4'' and 2'' block) with longer adjustable panhard bar, shocks and shock mount relocators. Assuming you are going to discs in the front, 1.5'' or 2'' spring with drop spindles and shocks. A lot of us buy from Early Classic Enterprises. Geometry is already built into parts, just need aligned when done.

The Early Classics Enterprises kits are great. I can't say enough good about the quality and ease of their kits. Also, I would recommend calling them with your questions, they also build these trucks and are very knowledgable. Everything you need will be in a kit.

This is the Early Classic 4/6 drop kit with TT 11's 245 and 275 x15 60's. Their websight is great.

You will not find better parts or service than Early Classic.
I did a full 4/6 drop on my stepside last year and documented the whole thing with pictures here on the board. When you order ECE stuff, you get it all. No need to run around trying to round up little widgets and such. They include all you need. Just take the box out to the garage and get to work.

I'm staying with the drums and I6, but I don't want it to be jacked up like it would be if I redid the suspension stock. The I6 is going to be built, so never fear, but I just wanted it to look a bit better in respect to the suspension and ride height.

I have easy access to the springs and shocks, I was wondering about the proper way to drop the front though, because I don't want my wheels to look like this / \ as I go down the road. actually, maybe just a 2/4 would work, but the suspension is ancient, so it might already have a 2/4 drop (sagging springs), so who knows...
