Rear End Leak
I just noticed today that I have a leak at the hub of my 14 bolt rear end. It is spraying gear lube on the tire. Anybody know what this would cost to get fixed and also what it would cost to put new pads on. I am planning on having a shop do the work, it would be nice to see if their estimate is resonable.
Thanks, Tim

No idea on labor, nor brake shoes, but the actual seal shouldn't be but a buck or two. I've always made my own for that though. (that's how I was trained in the army)

The seals are pretty cheap but I think they're more than a buck or two. Same with brake shoes. I rebuilt my 14 bolt but I did all the work myself. Try driving it to some different places and get some estimates. The biggest problem I had was finding someone to turn down the drums. Wouldn't fit on any automotive drum machines so I ended up going to a truck repair place.

I forgot about that...I had to take my drums to a machine shop.
